"Dear Miss Bird:
Aunt Zaida rec'd your xmans gift and is very pleased with it. many thanks.
We read in the paper that you are sick and aunt Z. was so anxious to drop you a line.
Ray Immel (sp) whose Mother is a siser to uncle John + a cousin to Charlie Kushon (sp), the one who taught in Hudson some years ag, is to give a Reading in Clayton jan. 14 on the Merchant of Venics. Aunt Z wants you to hear it if you are able + then tell us about it. We hope you had a Merry Xmas. Wishing you a happy New Year,
