Black and white postcard of the "Northern Central Station, Newark, New York." Undivided back, with one cent stamp, sent by an Asylum employee, who had just arrived at Newark to:
"Miss. M. A. Purdy,
Penn Yau (?)
with the message also written in black script on the front:
"Thought I had better write you that there isn't going to be any train home from Geneva Sunday nighton account of flood. They left (sp) me off here Monday morning, haven't realized where I am ri____. I am going to asylum tomorrow with the girls so good bye."
